This rose is so simple but so adorable. I don't know why I love them so much! Just wait until we hand paint them, that will be fun.


Coming out of my Winter Cave

I'm feeling pretty mellow with my last few tutorials, I'll admit. Kind of coming out of winter yucks now I guess.

I can't wait for real spring, getting out into the garden, etc... season change can be really good. We'll get there.

I'm looking forward to a summer of new and fun projects. Finally getting into my mannequin garden sculptures, and other outdoor crochet like yarn bombs and granny wheels. I'm cleaning up my studio so I can get sewing on some upcyled outfits. So yeah, there's stuff to do. Come oooon summer!

Yeah, I really like crochet jewelry.

I’ve made a few crochet jewelry videos now, cuz you know I love to show off just what a big fabulous crochet nerd I am. Ha. 

I know I’ve mentioned these pretty rose pendant necklaces and how much I love them. I just think they are so classic and pretty, especially on a vintagey chain like this one. 


You could also use a simple bead crochet chain from my other tutorials, which would look really nice. Here's my Easy Bead Crochet Tutorial video.

I’ll def have a video coming up, on how to hand paint all my cotton jewelry for custom coloring and effects. So look out for that one, that will be a lot of fun. 



But wait, is this the weird craft channel, Bekki? This seems pretty cute and sweet, uhh what’s up. 

Well hey look, exactly how many ppl do you know who wear crochet jewelry? Exactly, I thought so. Just me and that one weird friend right? Okay then, case closed.

Edge the Can Labels Basically, the cans will be edged just like a granny square. 5 dc into each corner, and 3 dc into each hole along the sides. For those who prefer a written pattern, here you go: Sl st into corner hole, ch 3 (counts as 1 dc). Work 2 dc into same hole. *Work 3 dc into next hole and each hole across. Work 5 dc into corner hole. Repeat from * around label, ending with 2 dc into starting hole. Sl st into 2nd of ch 2 from beginning.

Make the Base (Top):   I call this part of the hat the Base because that's where a hat usually begins. Crochet the Base of the hat from the Basic Hat Pattern . Work in the dc stitches as described until the underlined number is 4. You should end up with a nice circle that has 60 sts around the outer edge. Do not tie off. 6.
