Video: A Wonderful Wedding Parade in Oaxaca, Mexico


 

While wandering the long pedestrian street in el centro de Oaxaca city, we found ourselves in the middle of a massive wedding parade or Calenda. It was magical! Giant puppets, bands, and beautiful people in traditional dress as far as we could see. You know I love the full embroidery and skirts, they were everywhere. There was candy flying, and of course the usual shot of mezcal in that little bamboo shot glass. So much fun!! More from my trip coming soon. It's about time!

I love this!!  I wanted for sure to make a Cowboy beer can hat, and I gotta say I like it. I figured out how to make a dip in the top which I think looks pretty cool. And pinned the brim on the sides all country like. It really is a good size sun visor!
